These features make OpenTable a convenient and rewarding platform for making restaurant reservations. Feel free to ask more questions.

OpenTable accepts various payment methods. Restaurants can choose to set up auto pay or direct deposit on the Payment information tab to automatically pay each month with a credit card, debit card, or bank account. Restaurants that prefer to send a check can find their OpenTable remittance address on the Payment information tab.

In addition, OpenTable integrates with a Stripe account to manage customer payments for reservation deposits, cancellation and no-show fees, and prepaid experiences. Restaurants will need an active Stripe account to charge guests through no-show and cancellation policies and for prepaid experiences.

Moreover, OpenTable supports contactless payment systems such as Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay. These payment systems allow guests to pay for goods and services using a smartphone. As with other contactless payment options, guests simply open the app on a mobile device and hold the phone close to the payment terminal.

Remember, it's critical that the information in your payment processing account is accurate and current. Inaccurate or outdated information may result in processing issues. Please ensure to keep the information up-to-date.

OpenTable is a platform for restaurant reservations, not a physical goods retailer, so the concept of free shipping does not apply.

As for their policies, OpenTable has cancellation, no-show, and deposit policies. Many restaurants require additional requirements to book a reservation. These policies help ensure timely service and protect a restaurant from the severe costs of a no-show reservation.

Cancellation and no-show policies: Restaurants may ask that you provide a credit card number to secure your reservation. If the reservation is modified outside of the time window set in the cancellation policy, the restaurant may use the credit card details to charge a fee.

Deposit policies: Restaurants may charge a deposit to secure a reservation. The deposit is paid with a credit card when the reservation is booked. This deposit amount will either be applied to the final bill or refunded. Refunds are issued automatically if the reservation is canceled within the time window outlined in the cancellation policy.

Please note that only restaurants can issue refunds for these charges or manually issue refunds for deposits. If you believe you should receive a refund on a deposit, please contact the restaurant directly.

For more specific details, it's recommended to check the policies of the individual restaurant when making a reservation.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask more questions.

At OpenTable, the return policy is primarily related to cancellation, no-show, and deposit policies.

Many restaurants have additional requirements to book a reservation. These policies help ensure timely service, and they help protect a restaurant from the severe costs of a no-show reservation.

Cancellation and no-show policies: Restaurants may ask that you provide a credit card number to secure your reservation. If the reservation is modified outside of the time window set in the cancellation policy, the restaurant may use the credit card details to charge a fee. The restaurant's cancellation policy is outlined when you book a reservation. These details are also in the reservation confirmation email. Only restaurants can issue refunds for these charges.

Deposit policies: Restaurants may charge a deposit to secure a reservation. The deposit is paid with a credit card when the reservation is booked. This deposit amount will either be applied to the final bill or refunded. This policy will be clearly outlined when booking the reservation and in its confirmation email. Deposit refunds are issued automatically if the reservation is canceled within the time window outlined in the cancellation policy. Once a refund is processed, you will receive a confirmation email that displays the refund amount and that it may take up to 10 days for the refund amount to appear in your account statement. Only restaurants can manually issue refunds for deposits. If you believe you should receive a refund on a deposit, please contact the restaurant directly.

For cancellation and no-show disputes, you can cancel a reservation online or call the restaurant directly. Customers are encouraged to cancel any reservations that they will be unable to honor at least 30 minutes in advance on the day of the reservation. Some restaurants have implemented a 24-48 hour cancellation policy. If you have any questions please check with the restaurant directly to confirm their policies so you do not get marked as a no-show.

If a credit card is required to book your reservation, you'll see a message like: "This restaurant requires a credit card in order to make this reservation. This restaurant reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee according to its cancellation policy. Please note that online cancellations will only be accepted prior to 5 PM two days before the reservation. Thank you!" If a restaurant has provided us with the specific details of its cancellation policy, they will be stated in the message. If you're concerned that a restaurant may charge you a fee according to their cancellation policy, please contact the restaurant directly to discuss the matter with their General Manager.

If you did not cancel your reservation, but you received an email cancellation notice, that means the restaurant has marked your reservation as a cancellation in their OpenTable reservation book. This could have been done by accident, or intentionally if an issue suddenly affected the restaurant's ability to serve you (e.g.: weather-related closures, etc.). If the reservation has not yet occurred, please contact the restaurant directly to see if they can reinstate your reservation. If you already dined at the restaurant, and your reservation was canceled in error, please contact our support team. We will review your account and adjust the status accordingly.

If you already dined at the restaurant, and your reservation was marked as a no-show in error, we have a solution. For the fastest resolution, please check for an email with the subject line: Let us know you were there and select the Update your attendance link so we can update your reservation up to 30 days after the reservation was honored, and provide points if the reservation was eligible for them.
